The Administration of Technical Agricultural Services has been a competent and reliable contact for all questions concerning applications, challenges during conversion and the ongoing management of an organic farm since 1967. Its remit includes agricultural technology, agronomy and the control and testing laboratories, which comply with international ISTA and OLAS standards. The “Prüfdienst Agrarförderung” (UniCo) is responsible for checking compliance with national and European obligations.

The major challenges facing agriculture and ASTA today are volatile markets, competitiveness and climate change, and the associated reductions of emissions of greenhouse gases. In this context, organically managed farms have a promising future when it comes to adapting to changing climate conditions.
