The “Vereenegung fir Biolandwirtschaft Lëtzebuerg” is a non-commercial interest group that promotes the interests of organic farmers and processors. The platform offers all organic farms and interested parties the opportunity to promote a truly sustainable and environmentally friendly land management system, nutritional competence as well as further education and training on a political and social level. The focus of the work of the interest group is on advisory services, together with the IBLA organic advisory service, the organisation of events with experts from Luxembourg and abroad, and on cooperation with national and international organisations in the fields of organic agriculture, nature conservation and environmental protection. The association has intensive exchanges of views with ministries and administrations and invests in the development of support networks. 

The association commissions the control and certification of the legally protected collective brands Bio LËTZEBUERG and Demeter. Bio LËTZEBUERG is used to label organic products produced exclusively by members of the “Vereenegung fir Biolandwirtschaft Lëtzebuerg”. The users of this nationally recognised organic label work according to the guidelines of the EU Organic Regulation, but undertake to comply with a stricter set of specifications. The Demeter label guarantees a biodynamic production cycle and is the gold standard of all European organic labels.

Since its foundation, membership of the association has been open to all sympathisers of organic agriculture and, since 2019, also to interested EU organic farms.
